Join us in-person on the farm at The Barn at Mill Creek where we will dig into the elementary economic concepts of scarcity, specialization, and productive resources.  Together we will discover how agriculture is the foundation for these economic concepts. Enjoy a hotdog picnic with your colleagues following the workshop. We also invite you to take some time to visit the animals on the farm, including Arthur the Camel. We will be providing childcare for children Pre-K through 5th grade.

Live within your means…

Yesterday we kicked off Financial Literacy month by re-introducing VCEE to our new followers, with that, we have a quote from our President and CEO, Mr. Daniel R. Mortensen.

“Live within your means. Prudent financial decisions and smart habits are keys to financial success, regardless of your income level.  A study produced by the American Council of Life Insurers found that 25 percent of the most financially secure households in America earn $50,000 or less per year.” -Daniel R. Mortensen, President & CEO, Virginia Council on Economic Education
