In the second of the Election Economics Series focuses on fiscal responsibility for the federal government.
This is the same workshop that is being offered May 1st, they are the same workshops offered on different dates to afford teachers the opportunity to attend if they have calendar conflicts.
Explore research-based, inquiry-driven lessons and activities designed to teach about the Federal Budget, National Debt, Budget Deficit, Taxes, Social Security, and Medicare as well as additional lessons, activities, and resources for teaching personal finance in this daylong institute.
These lessons are PERFECT for preparing for the upcoming presidential election! Use these engaging materials to inform your students about these topics in a non-partisan manner and empower them to develop their own opinions prior to the election.
We will gain valuable insight about the ins and outs of Social Security and Medicare from a JMU economics professor.
Lunch, light snacks and drinks provided AS WELL AS $50 REIMBURSEMENT TOWARDS SUB PAY for the first 35 (total) teachers who register.
This workshop and the accompanying materials are made available to teachers through the generous support of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation and the Council for Economic Education.
