At VCEE, we’re committed to providing quality professional development and classroom-ready resources for K-12 teachers, specifically focusing on economic and personal finance education. Through our workshops and institutes, we equip teachers with the skills and resources they need to excel in the classroom.
What’s more, thanks to the support of our generous donors and partners, these opportunities are offered at absolutely no cost to teachers or school divisions.

Ensuring accessibility to quality teacher training is paramount to our mission. To achieve this goal, we’ve established university-based Centers for Economic Education across Virginia.
These centers serve as hubs of excellence, providing educators from all school divisions with convenient access to top-notch resources and training opportunities.
Impact and Reach
Our core philosophy revolves around the notion of “Teach the Teacher” to reach the greatest number of students. Annually, we serve a substantial number of educators – 2,414 in 2023 to be exact – who collectively impacted over 136,000 students. Moreover, the influence of these educators extends far beyond their immediate classrooms, as they continue to impact additional students every year they remain in teaching, creating a powerful multiplier effect that enriches communities across Virginia.

Become a VCEE Certified Educator to showcase your commitment to professional growth and adapting to change. By completing a full institute and passing the post-test, you’ll gain mastery of personal finance, entrepreneurship, and economics concepts in Virginia’s Standards of Learning, along with engaging, ready-to-use classroom resources — all at no cost to teachers!

From the excitement of the Virginia Economic Challenge to the practicality of the Virginia Personal Finance Challenge, our initiatives cater to diverse learning styles and interests. Additionally, our programs, such as the Mini Economy and The Stock Market Game™, offer hands-on experiences that bring economic and financial concepts to life in the classroom.
