Two sessions were held for 1.5 hours each with librarians from Prince William County Public Schools to promote Virginia Reads One Book’s Cleo Edison Oliver: Playground Millionaire.  Teachers were given resources to support the initiative including a copy of the book, a copy of the grade 2 – 3 teacher resource guide, and an information flyer detailing the Virginia Reads One Book program.  Lessons were demonstrated and discussed on the following topics: a) the productive resources producers use to manufacture and distribute goods and services to consumers; b) the economic decision-making models used to evaluate choices in terms of costs and benefits; and c) the entrepreneurial mindset in viewing problems as opportunities for invention and innovation.
