This is an undergraduate course at VCU for future elementary school teachers. The course covers the core university principles of economics curriculum, and adds applications specifically tailored for pre-service teachers, such as an opportunity to “teach” economic concepts to their colleagues. The course supplies pre-service teachers with teaching materials and experience so they are capable of teaching the K-5 Virginia SOLs for economics.
