This offering of the course suffered major interruptions from Covid-19. It was planned as an in-person/online hybrid, but had to be made into an online course at the last minute due to the winter Covid surge. It transitioned back to a hybrid in April.
This is an undergraduate course at VCU for future elementary school teachers. The course covers the core university principles of economics curriculum, and adds applications specifically tailored for pre-service teachers, such as an opportunity to “teach” economic concepts to their colleagues. The course supplies pre-service teachers with teaching materials and experience so they are capable of teaching the K-5 Virginia SOLs for economics.
