The goal of this webinar is to introduce participants to the revised Virtual Virginia online Economics and Personal Finance (EPF) course that will be available to Virginia public schools starting this summer and to provide information about how best to use new course features to enhance student understanding of the Virginia Economics and Personal Finance SOLs.

Interested in learning more and receiving college credit/CEUs? Sign up for the webinar and an online course available through the University of Mary Washington’s Center for Continuing and Professional Studies. The webinar is free, but a tuition payment of $349 is required. Participants in the course who complete asynchronous online modules and attend a synchronous online Zoom session (May 21, 4–6 p.m.) will receive 1 hour of university PD course credit.
Register for the UMW for-credit course here.

Participants in the for-credit course will preview the content of the new online EPF course. They will learn how the course can be used to effectively teach EPF in online, blended, or face-to-face formats. Participants can ask the lead Subject Matter Expert
and Course Developer questions about the course, including content, organization, resources, and assessments.
Participants will:
• become familiar with the content of the new Virtual Virginia EPF course
• review the course’s organization, structure, and assessments
• sample resources made available to teachers and students through the new course
• learn ways to use the new course to teach online, blended, and face-to-face EPF courses

Are you a current Virtual Virginia EPF teacher? You may receive a half-price discount code for the UMW for-credit course. To learn more, email continuingstudies@umw.edu. Discount codes must be requested by May 13 to guarantee discounted registration.
