This Institute allows teachers to experience methods for teaching all of the K-3 elementary economics related Standards of Learning in a manner that is hands-on, effective, and fun. Designed to strengthen and deepen a teacher’s understanding of these concepts, it also provides a variety of resources ready for use in the classroom, including lessons, simulations, performance assessments and demonstrations linked to children’s literature, both classic and new. As a new bonus, many of the workshop materials will come pre-cut and ready-made for your classroom (no going to the store or staying up the night before you teach cutting things out!).
Participants completing the 12 instructional hours will be eligible for 12 hours of recertification credits and recognition as a VCEE Certified Economics Educator: K-3.
Participants receive a number of resources for use in the classroom.

Fee: NO CHARGE, however $0.00 refundable fee required
Registration is not complete until a check payable to VCEE for a $0.00 refundable deposit is received. The deposit will be returned uncashed after you complete the workshop. Mail the check to:Check for $30 please. Refunded when you complete the institute.
