Understanding and managing personal finances are key to one’s future financial success. The purpose of this online institute is to present the personal finance and economics content in Virginia’s high school Economics and Personal Finance course (EPF.10 – .18) and to provide resources and strategies for teaching that content. Financial literacy is essential in meeting the financial challenges of the 21st Century. The EPF standards, which form the basis for this Institute, enable students to analyze their personal financial decisions, evaluate the costs and benefits of their decisions, recognize their rights and responsibilities as consumers, and apply the knowledge learned in school to financial situations encountered later in life.  W!SE Certification included.
