This live webinar is designed to introduce the Reading Makes Cents program to librarians and teachers in the Southwest Region of Virginia served by our Center for Economic Education at UVA Wise.

This introduction to Reading Makes Cents includes program information, lessons and activities tied to this year’s three selected titles that incorporate Standards of Learning and key economic and personal finance concepts.

This year’s selection includes Give It!, Someone Builds a Dream, and The Secret Garden of George Washington Carver.

Educators participating in this program get library-bound copies of these three titles at no cost thanks to Reading Makes Cents program co-presenter Virginia529.

This webinar will be recorded and available for on-demand viewing.

The Reading Makes Cents program is co-presented by VCEE and Virginia529.
This webinar and other outreach programs offered by our Center for Economic Education at UVA Wise is supported by Virginia Bankers Association (VBA) Education Foundation.
