In this session, teachers will learn about production, specialization, and division of labor by discussing examples from the book Sweet Potato Pie by Kathleen D. Lindsey.
We will explore examples of specialization and division of labor by investigating historical facts about general stores, comparing them with modern-day marketplace, and examine factory production. To conclude, we will choose a good and compare how the good was produced in the past with how it is produced today.
