Grade Level: Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5
Teachers who have been conducting Mini-Economies in their classrooms are invited to bring their classes to VCU for “Mini-Economy Market Day.” This exciting day allows students to experience “international trade” as they trade with citizens from other “economies.” To participate, student businesses (minimum 3 students per business) must produce goods or services to sell that day. Student businesses with innovative products or outstanding marketing will be recognized.
The program ends at 12:10pm. Groups may bring lunch for students and teachers to eat in their seats at the Siegel Center or return to school for lunch. For safety, this event is not open to the public or parents who are not serving as chaperons.
Your registration will not be final until you also send the Information Sheet found here which includes the number of businesses in your class. Due to limited space, at least three students must share each business. This is also helpful to the students because it allows them to take turns manning the booth and shopping.
Fee: NO CHARGE
