This one-hour session features the benefits of Reading Makes Cents, a financial literacy reading program, now in its ninth year for Virginia librarians and K-8 students. The program provides librarians with free books, lesson plans, and the opportunity of winning books for the library and VA529 investment accounts for the students. The book titles for this year include: “Hurricane”, “Sloth and Squirrel in a Pickle” and “Wilma’s Way Home: The Life of Wilma Mankiller.”
