This workshop will focus on the use of pop culture and media to teach economics. Teachers will gain invaluable insight and expertise as well as tips and tricks for integrating clips from TV shows, movies, advertisements, etc. into their existing curriculum.

Join us in-person or online for this can’t miss opportunity! We are bringing in Jadrian Wooten, author of “Parks and Recreation and Economics” and curator of the Economics Media Library (econ.video). Dr. Wooten is a leading expert in the use of creative methods and pedagogy for the teaching of economics. This workshop will focus on the use of pop culture and media to teach economics. Teachers will gain invaluable insight and expertise as well as tips and tricks for integrating clips from TV shows, movies, advertisements, etc. into their existing curriculum. Two lucky winners will receive a copy of his book “Parks and Recreation and Economics” as a door prize.

This workshop is being offered as an in-person or online option. Space is limited for in-person attendees. We will check with registrants to see which option they prefer after they register.
