Summer 2022 Professional Development Programs

The Virginia Council on Economic Education is pleased to invite educators across The Commonwealth to their upcoming professional development programs taking place this summer. Registration for these in-person and virtual events is FREE of charge and open to all grade levels. In addition to curricular resources, each participant will receive a certificate for professional development hours when they complete the requirements of the program for which they register.

The awards celebration is hosted by the Virginia Council on Economic Education (VCEE). You will hear from students on the winning teams and their teachers as they share their stock picks, strategies and lessons learned during a school year unlike any other. The Virginia Stock Market Game™ Awards Celebration is free, open to all, and your attendance is strongly encouraged, as those students and teachers who participated in this year’s program are deserving of your support.

Virginia Economic Educator Awards Nominations NOW OPEN!

Do you know an amazing economic educator that deserves to be recognized for their exemplary work? The Virginia Economic Educator Awards recognize educators from around Virginia who have demonstrated excellence, creativity and innovation in teaching economics and personal finance. There are two categories: Outstanding Economic Educator Aware and Outstanding Lesson, Unit or Problem-Based Assessment on Entrepreneurship, Economics or Personal Finance Award. Submission Deadline is August 31, 2022.
