Happy New Year! Virginia Council on Economic Education (VCEE) provides high quality interactive professional development opportunities for K-12 teachers to connect them with classroom-ready economics and personal finance resources. With the support of donors and partners, VCEE institutes and workshops are provided at no cost to teachers or school divisions.
In 2022, we served 1,500 teachers who would reach more than 109,000 students. We have also had 11,000 contact hours with these amazing educators over the last year. Additionally each educator will impact even more students every year as they continue to teach using our FREE customizable resources.

The Stock Market Game™ is an online simulation of the global capital markets that engages students grades 4-12 in the world of economics, investing, and personal finance. Students work in teams of 2 – 4 to perform research and evaluate trends in order to manage their $100,000 portfolio. Since its inception, The Stock Market Game™ has prepared nearly 20 million students for financially independent futures.
IMPORTANT SPRING GAME KEY DATES: 2/6/2023 – 6/2/2023 2/6/2023 – Trading opens. 2/17/2023 – Registration for Spring game closes. 3/3/2023 – Last day to add or delete Spring teams. 3/10/2023 – All Spring teams must trade by this date in order to be eligible for end-of-competition awards 4/21/2023 – END OF COMPETITION. TEAMS MAY CONTINUE TO TRADE UNTIL 6/3/2023.
